Why should I pump my tank?
Regular pumping is recommended to remove the solids in the tank. If left in the tank over time the
solids will accumulate and exit into the leach field causing your septic system to fail prematurely.

How big is my tank?
If your house was built before 1990 it is most likely 1000 gallons

After 1990, 1000 gallon tanks are required for 1-2 bedrooms and a 250 gallon increase for every bedroom there after.

How often should I pump my tank?
We recommend:

1-2 people every 2-3 years.

2-4 people every 1-2 years.

More then 4 people, annually

✴ If you're planning a large party at your home we recommend pumping your tank prior to the event.

✴ Our driver can also recommend adjusting your pumping schedule for heavier or lighter use.

What does it mean to uncover my tank?
In order to be considered uncovered the access cover must be fully visible and able to be easily lifted off. (See Tank Diagram Below)

How much does it cost to pump my tank?
Because there are many types of tanks, pricing depends on the size, depth of the tank as well as the local waste water treatment plants fees.

What is a baffle?
In every tank there are two baffles. The inlet baffle directs the solids to the bottom of the tank. While the outlet baffle stops any solids that may have risen from exiting the tank into the leach field.

How do I know if I have a filter?
The only way to know for sure if you have a filter is to uncover the exit side inspection cover of your tank and visibly inspect for a filter.

Should I use chemicals?
A properly cared for system will maintain itself. It’s not necessary to put any type of chemical into your tank. Although in some extreme cases where the production of bacteria has been interrupted a chemical can be introduced in order to restart the bacteria process.
